The Meatball Shop Cookbook

Friday, I was in Utah. Yesterday, I was in Vegas. Today, I'm in Brooklyn, and tomorrow I will be in San Francisco. Basically, I'm eating and shooting my way through the country.

Did I mention I have been eating and eating?

S'anyway, tonight I ate a Fennel Sausage and Fresh Ricotta Pizza at Paulie Gee's and a Spicy Pork Meatball Slider and Ice Cream Sandwich at The Meatball Shop. Yep, all in one night. I loved everything and was thrilled to find out that The Meatball Shop Cookbook is due out this fall and quickly pre-ordered my copy. Heads up: their secret is to use fresh white bread rather than breadcrumbs... keeps it light and anti-dry (I hate using the real word.)

  2. I must know..are you toting the babe around with you on all these stops? That would be amazing. Hopefully she's a good little traveler.

Maybe you would prefer it if the meatballs were supple. hehe.

  6. oh traveling. I am not a fan of traveling so cheers to you for taking it in stride. I think meatballs might be one of my favorite comfort foods. My grandmother has a beer meatball recipe that is just killer.

  7. Thanks for saying "moist," guys. :)

Rachel: Evie came with me to Las Vegas, but didn't go with me to NY and SF (4 1/2 days total) because the travel was grueling. If a trip schedule works with my husband, sisters or mom, I will take them with me to help watch Evie while I work.

  9. Using fresh white bread instead of bread crumbs is no secret. My family is Italian and that's the way we've always done it. Can't wait to check out the meatball shop cookbook though. Love learning new ways to cook Italian food.
