I'd love to have the letter m necklace ... beautiful jewelry! My favorite piece of jewelry is from my husband--my engagement ring of course!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is an Australian coin pendant my grandpa bought while he was a soldier in WWII. It's so simple and unique and a wonderful way to remember him.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite jewellery was given to me by my best friend for my 30th birthday, it was a beautiful charm bracelet.
ReplyDeletenice shoot!
ReplyDeletemy favourite jewelery is actually my grandparents old garden gate key that i put on a necklace chain. it's one of those old antique keys. i have great memories of when i was young and we'd work in the vegie garden, catch ladybirds and pick oranges to make freshly squeezed orange juice.
I have a few pieces of jewelry that I absolutely love, but I guess my favorite is my engagement ring from my husband. It's a white-gold, double banded ring (with pave diamonds on both bands) with rose-gold filligree that holds up green tourmaline oval stone with green diamonds around it. Thanks for hosting a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry---a tossup between the heirloom my mom gave me for Mother's Day (a cameo brought back from Italy by my Grandpa for my Grandma after the war), and the eternity necklace my husband gave me on our first Christmas married.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is an old fashioned ring my dad gave me when I was a little girl. I now wear it on my pinkie finger - and it isn't my normal style at all - but I love it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is the necklace I got after my Grandmother passed away. It was the necklace I last saw her in. She was a woman who LOVED jewelry. I love wearing it as a reminder of her. I love how jewelry can be such an emotional connection to someone.
ReplyDeleteWell, my mommy heart would like to say I like best of all, those garish bright colored pasta bracelets made by my children through the years. Cherish them, yes, But I would have to say my favorite is my anniversary band given to me by my love on the 12th anniversary of our engagement! (We are heading into year 20 now.)
ReplyDeletemy husband bought me a new ring that i'm pretty much in love with. but i think i need to hint about one of these darling necklaces from Ariel's collection ;)
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the piece of jewelry that is most sentimental to me is my wedding and engagement ring which are soldered together. I lost it about 6 months back. I tore the house apart looking for it and thought it was gone for good. Fortunately, my 3 year old miraculously found it. I was beyond thrilled to have it back! Now if I could only add the letter k necklace to my collection of jewelry, I'd have another piece to love and cherish!
ReplyDeleteI have two- it's hard to choose.
ReplyDelete#1-a lighthouse pendant my Mom gave me 15 years ago.
#2- a heart pendant that my 4 year old daughter gave me for Mother's day.
Ariel Gordon Jewelry is beautiful. :)
This Dec I am graduating from Nursing school. A fete that I almost thought was impossible with 3 kids, 7 and under. My sister bought me a silver heart necklace that has a Red Cross on it to remind me of the hard work and dedication I have to the helping others. I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelery probably came from my husband, my wedding ring. I don't have much jewelery that I didn't just buy for myself.
ReplyDeleteseems like a common response... my favorite piece of jewelery is my engagement ring, followed by a pair of "love knot" earrings from my mother's collection when she was young.
ReplyDeleteMy grandfather gave me my first pair of {teeny tiny} diamond stud earrings when I was just a baby. I don't remember it obviously, but I still wear them and love them, especially now that he is gone.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite jewelry that was given to me is a pair of handmade silver earrings my sister brought me from Morocco. They are simple and perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love her clean and simple looking necklaces. Very classy!
ReplyDeleteSame here. Engagement ring from the hubs. But besides that I wear this ring a lot that is super old (and probably from a forever 21 or whatever) that my best friend gave me forever ago when we went to different high school proms. So she gave me that so we could share something together on our prom night. i actually wear it a lot.
ReplyDeleteMy husband gave me favorite piece of jewelery: my wedding ring.
ReplyDeleteI also have my late Nana's necklace that I adore!
My favorite piece of jewelry is from my Dad, many years ago now: a Tiffany ring I wear every day.
ReplyDeleteIt's BEAUTIFUL! Always love the coloring in your photos. So pretty! And the jewlery, SO great!
ReplyDeleteAside from the obvious (my husband giving me my amazing engagement ring) I'd have to say the giant blue topaz in silver ring that I remembered her wearing so much as a child. She gifted it to me at my engagement party to wear as my "something blue" in my wedding. I just love it not only because it's gorgeous, but also because it reminds me of her every time I look at it.

ReplyDeletemy favorite peice is a conglomerate of things given to me by different people. something from my grandmother, something from a good friend, something from my mom...etc. i wear it ALMOST every day. there is something in it that makes it go with just about everything.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece is a grey pearl ring my husband got me while we were dating. It was at one of those places where you buy the shell and open it up to discover what kind of pearl you get. I fell in love with the pale shimmery gray color and he put it on a promise ring for me!
ReplyDeleteI love the minimal and modern feel Ariel Gordon jewelry.
oh wow, i love the necklaces...my favorite piece of jewlery i own is my mom's emerald ring that she gave me when i graduated from college. my dad (who died when i was a teenager) gave it to her since it's her birthstone. i used to beg to wear it to homecoming, preference, and prom dances when i was younger. she surprised me and gave it to me the day i graduated. i still get teary when i wear it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is a beautiful silver heart necklace from my boyfriend from a few years ago. It was the first piece of jewelry he'd ever bought for a woman.

ReplyDeletemy daughter gave me my favorite piece of jewelry. for my last birthday she gave me a necklace with a camera pendant on it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is a ring my grandmother gave me shortly after my great-grandmother past away. It's not only beautiful, but a great reminder of the great ladies that belong in the higher branches of my family tree.

ReplyDeletei think the mini-shape rings are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is a gold spin ring that my grandmother (mimi) left me. The gold square with 3 little diamonds actually spins with the wind's (or a little tap) help.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry came from my parents when I graduated from high school- my great-grandfather's pocket watch, which I sometimes wear as a necklace.
ReplyDeletei remember that shoot- beautiful images and jewelry! my gramma (who has quite the gorgeous collection of jewelry) gave me a beautiful, simple gold and silver bracelet for my birthday a few years ago that's around my wrist daily- i absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, my grandma and grandpa went on a trip to Slovenia (where our relatives are from) with the polka band that my grandpa played accordion in. They came back and gave me this necklace -- I'll say it was a circle-shaped "crystal" (at least that's what little-me told myself) with an "M" for "Melissa" etched into it. I still love how it reflects lots of light when the sun hits it, and more importantly, I love how it reminds me of my grandparents and our Slovenian roots.
ReplyDeletei usually don't wear a lot of jewelry together but I i always have my wedding rings on! Of course, my husband, gave those to me 12 years ago :)
ReplyDeleteI love my wedding rings of course. I love looking at them and knowing I have exactly what I want (simple). I stood up to the jeweler who was pressuring me to go another way. I also treasure the pearl necklace my sister gave me for mother's day one year.

i don't own much jewelry (but would love to), the only piece that anyone has ever given me is my engagement ring (and i guess wedding band, even though we bought that together), from my husband.
ReplyDeleteMy sister gives me the best jewelery, especially earrings!
ReplyDeleteI love the initial necklace. I've been wanting to get an "E" for a some time now as my maiden name begins with an "E".
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love my engagement ring of course. My husband saved for so long to get it and had it specially designed and made to be unique for me.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win! And I'd say one favorite is the ring my high school sweetheart (who ended up being my husband) gave to me 9 years ago. It brings back so many memories of being young and in love!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace that says "sisters" from my oldest sister. She gave one to me and our other sisters and even though it's cheap and probably cheesy, I love it. It's round and cute and easy to wear and makes me think of my sweet sister.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the necklace my husband surprised me with on our wedding day!
ReplyDeleteEasy for me to answer, partly because very few people have given me jewelry, and partly because my husband has fantastic style. So, answer: my husband.
ReplyDeleteWhile dating my now husband he asked my little brothers to help him pick out a piece of jewelery for our anniversary. Its not something I would have ever picked for myself but I love it since they all picked it out together♥
ReplyDeleteI would have to say it was my wedding ring from my husband.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my wedding ring. The diamond came from my husband's grandmother who passed away a few years before we met. That makes it extra special.
ReplyDeleteI have two favorite pieces of jewelry:
ReplyDeleteThe first is my engagement ring from my husband. The second is a ring with a very tiny diamond on it. My grandma took all the diamonds off her wedding ring and had them set in small, one-diamond rings for all the granddaughters. When every granddaughter turns 16 she gets her ring.
as a little girl my favorite piece of jewelry was one of my grandmas large turquoise rings. i loved it when she would let me play with it in church. when she died my sister got it. when my sister found out it was my favorite she gave it to me. the ring means so much to me because of my grandma and the selfless act of my sweet sister!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous jewelry!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is definitely my engagement ring, but i also love a cute litle ruby ring from my Grandpa.
my husband bought me my most favorite piece of jewelry. We were walking through Nordsrom one day and i pointed out the most beautiful simple necklace and 8 months later i got it for Christmas. I could not believe he remembered. I wear it almost every day
ReplyDeleteso many great things...

ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry that was given to me by my mom, for a little wedding gift, is a charm bracelet adorned with special moments that my soon to be fiancé and I shared with one another. There was a little gondola representing our proposal in NYC, a scorpion from our scorpion hunting date, a engagement ring, and the temple, where we were to be married. It has a special place in my heart.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend gave gorgeous diamond studs when I graduated from university. They are just the perfect size to wear when I want to look a little fancy.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was just 17, my boyfriend (now husband) bought me a pair of silver and black earrings from a little shop in a snowy little ski town. It was my first gift from him. He chose them because he said they would look pretty with my hair! LOL! Though I later lost one of them, I had the other made in to a beautiful necklace. Still a favorite...
ReplyDeleteI am dying to get my hands on one of those initial necklaces, oh so lovely! I am not one to typically wear jewelry, but when my sweet baby boy went into his first open heart surgery at only 4 months of age, a darling friend of mine sent me a necklace with his name engraved. That necklace didn't leave my neck for quite some time, and the moment it did, it sadly was lost. I am back to going without, but i miss it dearly!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is actually a necklace my dad gave my mom while they were dating. It is a jade circle with the chinese symbol for love in the middle. Mom let me wear it for my high school senior pictures and I fell in love with it and have practically worn it every day since...10 years.
ReplyDeleteFirst I just have to say that I LOVE your blog!! I just found it recently and have been spending every spare second that I have looking at old posts. You are SO talented!! I love all of your work.

ReplyDeleteMy parents always bring us back jewlery when they travel, and my favorite piece is the freshwater pearls they brought me from Australia. They saved them for my birthday since the pearl is my birthstone and they are so special to me.
ReplyDeletemy favorite piece of jewlery is a white gold simple necklace that my big brother gave me when I was a young teen (he's six years older than me)--it's gorgeous. I'm in college and I still wear it constantly.
ReplyDeleteI've received a lot of awesome jewelry that I treasure (everything from st. patrick's day troll doll earrings from my grandma to tiffany's) but my favorite pieces are a simple bracelet and ring I bought *myself* when I was going through a rough time last year. The bracelet says "on cloud nine" on the inside (which reminds me that it's good to be happy no matter what) and the gold band just makes me feel girly. Is that selfish?
