the saveur 100

one of the few great magazines we have left is saveur magazine. i had a brief stint there in nyc as a test kitchen intern and ate and tested some of the most amazing (and strangest) foods from around the world. each year, they produce the saveur 100 -readers' favorite things. some things are simple and basic, but it's inspiring me to get back into the kitchen. remember how I went to culinary school? my dean was jacques pépin (pretty amazing, actually) and i have a newfound eagerness to read his old book, the apprentice. --you can buy it here for $9!

  1. Just the photo of the cover makes me want to buy the issue - but I do have a weakness for pasta.

  2. That spaghetti looks amazing and the book looks interesting. I especially like the cute little apple illustration on the left page :)
