Part of Your World VIDEO
I've been dying to show you this funny home video of me singing Part of Your World with my sister Nina. I finally figured out how to rip it from our video-to-dvd. There are sooooo many hilarious things about this video, including:
+ We were home sick with chicken pox. This video isn't the only one that we did... making my dad record everything I thought to sing. Mostly church songs. Did you know I was a child church star? I kid, but seriously... I did do a music video with my older sister when I was about this age to help little kids learn songs. I'll dig that one up for you too. You'll die laughing.
+ Sister Nina is totally "little sister," only catching the last word of every line, swaying her head side to side and giving crazy eyes. She steals the show.
+ My intensity is hi-larious. The shotgun vibrato is my favorite -as well as getting out of breath for the intense parts and scratching at my chicken poxed face. Oh, and I've definitely picked up a few things from watching Whitney Houston.
+ My mom laughing in the background.
+ Our crimped, scraggly hair.
+ I have at least 3 key changes.
Enjoy.
um that was hilarious. you are both dead set on being little stars!
ReplyDeleteTHAT is hilarious! Your intensity kills me!! hahaha! You do have such a sweet little voice though! Go Ariel! ;)
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness that is hilarious! You are a crack up...so intense ha ha
ReplyDeleteYou really do have a beautiful voice!
I love that song - SO CUTE!!! great voice too. This is beyond precious. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHaha, ha, so cute.
ReplyDeleteI have a music video of myself singing along to New Kids on the Block. I think you and I coulda been besties with our love of singing (and apparently performing).
Nicole,
ReplyDeleteOh! What a precocious one you were.
You two are darling!!!
That is AWESOME. If we had had a video camera when I was a kid I would've done the exact same thing. As it is, we had lots and lots of cassette tapes with our voices recorded. I love listening to those...if anybody can even find a cassette player anymore.
ReplyDeletei love everything about this. I think you missed your calling and you should be on Broadway with Nat.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I loved how your childhood home looked like it could still be in style today! :) You clearly come from good genes! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteSo totally cute :) Like some of the others, I love the intensity!
ReplyDeleteSo. Freaking. Cute! Your voice is amazing, not just for a little gal, but for anyone. Going in for a second look...
ReplyDeletehahahahaha that is the best. Plus I think you totally look like Evie in this video. P.S I think you and Nina should do this video again same spot same outfits!
ReplyDeleteMy 4 year old loved this!
ReplyDeleteLOL Nicole, that was amazing! Love it. You guys are so cute! I love how dramatic you were. :)
ReplyDeleteHow did you transfer it from video to dvd?
Actually, it was much better a Capella singing than most of my Junior High students can do! I'm pretty impressed that you taught yourself to sing with a perfect mouth shape and almost perfect pitch at such a young age!!
ReplyDeleteCry-laughing. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLOVING this--especially loved the dropped "r" in "world" at the end. This also made me feel extremely old. I was on my MISSION when "The Little Mermaid" came out! I also have collected all the Children's Video Songbooks for my kiddos and it truly is fun seeing you and Natalie in them! Hope you figure out how to post some of the videos. :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha amazing!
ReplyDeleteHilarious and adorable!

ReplyDeleteHa hahaha i laughed o hard because i have a TON of videos just like it. Except i was the little sister who tried to steal the show!
ReplyDeleteYou are funny
YES. every time i took a bath (or was in a pool) i pretended to be aerial splashing against the rocks.
ReplyDeleteI remember when Little Mermaid came out! Now my daughter pretends to be Ariel...she'll get a kick out of this video when she comes home from school!
ReplyDeleteok your intensity hasn't waivered you do not take your eye off the ball...this gave me a good laugh! I love how you kept hold of your sister's hand the whole time...awesome. Overall very cute and very good vibrato:), even with chickenpox.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I don't often comment on blogs, but this was hilarious. SO FUNNY!! I can only imagine the "how-to" church song videos...seriously priceless.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh... that was all kinds of amazing. hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny and so sweet. Loved it.
