I once had this great idea when my husband and I were first married. I was going to make a simple cock pot soup. We had a variety of miscellaneous items in our kitchen, including peas and artichoke hearts. I put everything in the pot. My husband was so nice, he tried to eat the portion I had given him. When I finally sat down to eat I discovered that it tasted awful. I looked at him, eating away, and asked, 'Do you like this?' He looked back at me like a deer in the headlights. I told him he didn't have to eat it because it tasted horrible. The look of relief on his face made me laugh. I've never made the dish again.
