my grandpa was a major cowboy -having won belt buckles in every category at the rodeo- and i wanted to find a way to honor him at my wedding since he has passed on. horseshoes stair-stepped up the inside of my gown with the names and dates of my maternal side who had been married in the same
temple before me. my grandpa's brother, (my great uncle) has the most amazing diamond horseshoe wedding ring. i gave my version of it to my mother and sisters on my wedding day. these two things are a couple of my favorite things about my wedding.

Wow! Nicole, I can't believe you pulled this off in six weeks. Actually I guess I can believe it because you've always been amazing at stuff like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wedding. Thank you for sharing the sweet details and gorgeous photos. I'm a bit jealous here.
THAT is an instant family heirloom, even if it wasn't on your wedding dress.
ReplyDeleteHow special. You are so thoughtful :)
ReplyDeleteI always had trouble envisioning the horseshoes in the gown, but now I see it and I love it. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.
