lomo is selling adapters to turn your digital camera into a diana (a digital diana, that is). i'm not totally sure how i feel about this, but would LOVE to try it.
nooo! this makes me cry. takes all the fun out of shooting film with your diana or holga and the surprises the camera gives you when you develop your film.
i guess it makes it more accessible though. and maybe cheaper? i'm still sad though.
* if you shoot with a toy camera... yay for the images you produce.. if you alter it in photoshop, that defeats the purpose.
* you could make the look from any image with photoshop, but that's just about as lazy as buying this plastic version --although it may better to just start with a clean digital file to manipulate if you're going to cheat anyway.

it would be nice to have... but i agree, it defeats the point a bit!
ReplyDeletei just bought a holga, and not knowing which of my pictures will "turn out" or how they will look is half the fun {if not all of it!}.
i agree with you, naomi...
