  1. Hey Nicole,

I'm a faithful reader and am very excited about the upcoming class registration.
So excited, that I followed the link to find out what time the registration starts, only to find the "nicolesclasses.net" link in this post leads to some strange godaddy site with loads of ads.
I would want someone to give me a heads up if that was going on on my post.
Or maybe it's just my computer?
Either way, just thought you would want to know!

    Thanks,
    Sarah

  4. Do the lucky 5 in each class get to pick which book they want? (perhaps someone registers for the photo class but already bought the book... can they get the photoshop book instead?)

  5. sarah: thanks! have that fixed now.

britt: the photoshop and illustrator classes do required the program, but does not include the program --you can download them right before class for a free trial (but don't do until RIGHT before class. Thanks!

ashley: yes.. you can choose another book. :) tricky girl.

  6. I have a big question. I am desperate to learn about photography and would love to take the Photo 101 class, but I do not have a digital SLR camera or anything other than a little point and shoot and a holga. I promised myself I would learn about photography before I took the monetary plunge of a really nice camera. Would the class still be appropriate for me, or would it be better to have a camera to be trying out the techniques that I would be learning?

  7. Hi Alisa,

The biggest push with this class is to get the student off auto seettings -so.... if your point-and-shoot can let you manually change the shutter speed an fstop , then this class will work for you!

  8. I've worked in illustrator for a couple of years, and understand the tools, but would love to learn how to make patterns. Would this class be beneficial? If the first week is spent learning the tools could I have a different lesson? Thanks
