click below for course descriptions: have you noticed our new blog? we are still updating things (and some links aren't active yet... but alma did a swell job.)
I'd like to take your photo 102 course but I didn't take 101 from you. I took a college course a couple years ago. I have good knowlede of manual settings but I'm no perfectionist. How do I get approval from you to take the class?
We don't discuss manual settings at all because it is implied that everyone completely understands it.
102 continues natural lighting techniques and creative shooting. The pace is different than 101 -more in the direction of the class, not like Photo 101.
It's up to you, but it seems like students who join without 101 seem a little lost.
Nicole, Thankyou for your earlier response. What exactly would you be looking for from me if I did consider the 102 class. I always shoot completely in manual mode and understand all its functions. I just don't want to be in a class where I don't belong. But I also don't want to take the 101 course because I've already taken that class just not from you. Any advise? I'm not sure what to do.
I am so excited for your March photo class in Orem! I'm all signed up and ready to go, however - my ticket has 2 dates and times. In the Date+Time box it says Thursday March 25, 2010 1:00-4:00pm and in the Type box it says March 20.
I want to be absolutely certain that I know when the class is, because honestly, I would choose the wrong date/time and be so sad! So for my peace of mind - the class is March 20 from 9 am to 4 pm, yes?
Also, should we have your book for the class? Is it helpful to have it there? Can we buy it there?
I tried to sign up for your Arpil class but it wouldn't let me. They fill up so fast!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you have in store for the French Retreat! :)

HI Olivia,
ReplyDeleteWell, what 102 does not have is the outdoor lighting demo with a model.. instead we are indoors with tabletop.
It's really up to you.. i wouldn't want to be blamed either way. :)

Hi EngineerGirl --
ReplyDeletesorry, Eventbrite sent out a default time/date... It is March 20th.
I should have books there available for sale! Not necessary to purchase, just nice to have so you can take the class home with you. ;)
