  3. It will start with a heart themed breakfast, then a fun Valentine's project in Primary, another heart themed meal (dinner) and after the kiddos are in bed a dvd and romantic evening with my hubby :)
PS: I received the Photo 101 book last week and read it cover to cover, now I need to start applying your fantastic advice, I LOVE IT! Now just come to Portland - I already know 5 people who would come to your course. How I wish we stilled lived in SF so I could take your courses.

  9. My 7th anniversary is the week before Valentines, so it is always a "two-fer". Valentines is usually a quiet night at home with the fam, and some take out. Can't complain! Although it would be much more glamorous if I had that pretty necklace to wear...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Love it!
For Valentine's day my single roommate and I (also single), are going to watch old movies and eat junk. I'm looking forward to it!

  11. yikes, it is my year to plan valentines day and since i lost my job (dang economy!) at the end of december i don't think we will be able to do what i'd originally planned -- go see elton john + billy joel in concert! bummer.

but really, i am just glad i get to call him mine... so dinner + a movie will be just as great! this necklace would be a lovely addition!

  12. We are having a Young Women thing Valentine's day evening, so here's to a romantic little lunch at home!

    ReplyDelete
  13. My husband and I are closing on our first house at the end of the month so in an effort to save money, we opted to "skip" Valentine's Day this year - we're going to find a great recipe and cook dinner together and watch a movie with our dog. We wouldn't have it any other way!

    ReplyDelete
  14. how perfect is that necklace? i'm not sure what our plans are yet but i'm sure it'll be sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  15. i always pretend it's not valentines day to see if my husband will do something special. talk about a plan backfiring :) but i love doing nothing with him...

    ReplyDelete
  16. What a darling necklace. We will be celebrating Valentine's Day a couple days early by spending a night out in the city while my husband's parents watch our new little daughter.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love it! My Valentine's day will be filled with small signs of love, like banana pancakes in the morning and spontaneous hugs all day. barsall

    ReplyDelete
  18. I have two kids that are now old enough to understand what Valentines day is about. Last year we had a valentines dinner as a family and we're carrying on the tradition again.
We're cooking dinner at home and will have the table all decorated with a pink table cloth, red plates, candles, rose petals, and heart confetti. My 4 year old son loved it last year so this year will be even more fun.

    ReplyDelete
  19. we're going to vegas baby! and that would be the perfect b-day accessory! fingers crossed :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Another romantic event with my parents - they've been in town for our last two anniversaries too! At least we have a free babysitter!

    ReplyDelete
  21. My sweet husband picked up tickets to the symphony for the 13th, so that's when we'll celebrate. There's nothing more romantic to me than fabulous music with my true love.

    ReplyDelete
  22. would love to wear that out to dinner with my hubby! celebrating at our favorite restaurant in the city and perhaps a movie which we never get to do together.

    ReplyDelete
  23. beautiful! as for valentines day... i'm not sure. i probably should start thinking though.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Since we're living in the Caribbean (before you get too jealous, it is a 3rd world country:) there isn't much for fine dining, which is our usual valentine's celebration. So this year I'm planning on cooking, and surprising him with a cozy dinner on blankets at the end of the dock on our favorite beach here. I'm crossing my fingers the mosquitos will be nice!

    ReplyDelete
  25. that is the sweetest! thanks!
    love, lindsay

    ReplyDelete
  26. oh pick me! my dear husband will be working (and that entire weekend) :( perhaps i can get all dolled-up and wear the necklace and watch some love movies and eat sweet treats.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'll be waiting for all the flowers to go on sale the 15th so I deck out my house with fresh flowers...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh this necklace is just beautiful. My husband will be out of town the entire week after Valentine's so we're celebrating early. Just a simple dinner since we have to get a babysitter. But simple is how I like it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. what a lovely necklage.

We're just having a nice & quite dinner at home :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. my husband and i spent our first valentine's day at waffle house. we were 19 and in college. fast forward to age 32 and it is still our v-day tradition:) the only thing that will be different this year is that our baby girl will be in the booth with us!

    ReplyDelete
  31. i LOVE this necklace!

my husband and I are just leaving the kids and going to dinner!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would love this necklace. My husband and I will probably go to dinner, but we have tickets to go to a tennis gave before the 14th.

    ReplyDelete
  33. oh what a sweet necklace - i would love to win. my valentine's plans are centered around the idea of making the best of a nessicity. we will be driving back to colorado from a utah visit with family: valentines goodies for my three kids and husband to be enjoyed on that long, sad drive home. hope this necklace brightens my day!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wish I could say that we have big plans, but I'm in the middle of writing lesson plans for Methods in ECE and my husband is buried under tax documents. It'll probably be uneventful. But, I'm hoping to be swept off my feet. That'd be a great surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  35. OMG...LOVE that necklace!!!!
Ok, but seriously V-Day will be s'mores with my babies (hubby and 2 kids)...probably lots of snuggling while watching "Up"...and then MAYBE some adult snuggling after the kids go to bed...just maybe!

    ReplyDelete
  36. We are headed to NOLA for Mardi Gras to visit my family and celebrate my hubby's 30th birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  37. No exciting plans. I will be attending a ward conference (as part of the stake Primary presidency). My valentines are all adorable nieces and nephews. One lives in the same city as myself so she'll probably come over for dinner and we'll read a book or ... her new favorite pastime ... peel wrappers off of crayons.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well, my sister and her hubs and my nephews are coming down to visit from Maine. We're having a family get together on V-day to spend time with the ones we love! :)

  40. I'm a sucker for bows! My husband and I are planning on spending time together on valentines. :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm half-way across the country from my family/friends and I'm single - so this Valentine's I'm going to watch sappy old movies. This necklace could turn a pathetic holiday into something to remember. Do you get bonus entries for being pathetic?

    ReplyDelete
  42. oh that is precious! i'll be spending the day with my kids {the husband has to work}. hopefully we'll go out to dinner another day! i love february.

    ReplyDelete
  43. just spend time with my baby...

    ReplyDelete
  44. I am not a necklace girl, but there is something about the simplicity of this one that makes me smile. For V-day I think I will be able to talk my husband into some junk food and a chick flick (Valentine's Day). Attending a chick flick is an only once a year type of thing that he will do!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh, I love it! I love it! I love it!! I'm spending my heart day at a conference in New Mexico, but my adorable boyfriend is flying in for a fun rendezvous. It's my first V-day with a boyfriend....and I CANNOT wait!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. darnit, that is adorable.

I'll be driving 12 hours home to UT with 3 kids under 5 from my roots in WA to see if I can make it home to my hubby in time to celebrate. Do you think I'll be in the mood? Maybe if I'm only wearing that necklace I can muster something up...

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have been eyeing this necklace since you first posted about it...so pretty and delicate!

My only Valentine's day plan so far is to make my husband his favorite dessert: double chocolate torte. That baby is loaded with three sticks of butter, a cup of cream, 16 oz of chocolate and nine eggs (it sounds sickening right now but is to die for)... needless to say we only have it once a year! ha ha.

Beyond that labor of love...um...I guess wait and see what he has planned for me!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Valentine's Day Plans: wearing that necklace to dinner at P.F. Changs!

    ReplyDelete
  49. our valentines day plans usually involve take-out from el azteca - no long lines at a restaurant and i don't have to make dinner or pay for a babysitter. after the kids are in bed we'll watch a movie or play a game.

    ReplyDelete
  50. my husband and i are celebrating our one year anniversary (on the 12th) and going to vegas!

    ReplyDelete
  52. It's my first Valentine's Day as a married lady...I hope my hubby has something special planned! Its a surprise though and I would love love love to have something pretty to wear!! =)

  53. sweet necklace! i am spending my vday going wedding dress shopping with my bestie/bride-to-be! how fun!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Valentine's Day plans are still undecided, but will be a good day. Although it would be even better if I had this treasure to wear!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. wowwwwww. it's so beautiful. Hubby and I are going to a traditional Elizabethan feast put on by the Davis High School Madrigals to celebrate, and on the day of, we're probably just staying in and having a nice dinner and going to bed early ;).

    ReplyDelete
  56. That is so pretty! I love that! I will be spending Valentines day in Utah with my family. It is the weekend before my brother goes on his mission.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I don't think we'll be doing anything for Valentine's day except going to church. Maybe I'll whip up our favorite dinner and we'll watch one of the first movies we saw when we were dating.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Valentines plans? Does teaching Sharing Time count?
I'm crossing my fingers that husband gets dinner reservations and a sitter for Saturday night. V day is all his deal!
Love the necklace!! Hope I win.
    :)

  59. the necklace is so lovely :)my hubby is taking to a chic flic and I'm making him his favorite dish :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I don't know what my Valentine's plans are. The boyfriend hasn't told me yet.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Nothing. Well... We'll probably talk about how smart we are to celebrate it a few days earlier/later and miss all the crowds.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Unfortunately my boyfriend will be out of town on Valentines day this year :0(
Maybe winning this ridiculously cute necklace would make up for it?

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm making my boyfriend a very nice candle light dinner & staying in (away from the crowds) for the night. I'm bringing over my massage table & setting it up to give him a very nice (PG rated) body massage. I'm also giving him the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack because he commented on how much he liked it after we saw it a couple of weeks ago.

    ReplyDelete
  64. oh how lovely...our v-day plans included a lunch at church complete with a teen photographer documenting the love (photos of couples, families, bff's you get the idea)after the meal...also prepared by teenagers. a family affair sorta day.

    ReplyDelete
  65. My boyfriend is in law school in Virginia and I have 2 semesters left at BYU, so I'm taking advantage of the long weekend and flying out to see him. We don't get to see each other very often, so the day/weekend will be special, regardless. But that is a great necklace...

    ReplyDelete
  66. For V-day weekend, we are going snow shoeing with our 2 year old and 2 month old. I will make a heart shaped breakfast. Later on I will read to my daughter the book "Pinkalicious", and following that we will make pink cupcakes. In the evening we will watch a romantic movie and eat chocolate fondue!

    ReplyDelete
  67. My lovely and I are having a night filled with dressing up,dancing, romance and fooood.

    ReplyDelete
  68. We'll be having a nice quite dinner at home.

    ReplyDelete
  69. My little sister is coming into town to visit for the long weekend so I'll get to be with my sisters AND my hubby! :) Couldn't be better.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Pretty excited for Vday this year. Grandma is taking the babe for the weekend, so it's going to be a party for three days! WOOT!

    ReplyDelete
  71. No official plans yet, but I'd be happy with a quiet night at home with my husband.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm going to run my first 5K on Valentine's Day morning and will then spend the day with the boyfriend and his sister and friend at Mardi Gras parades! We live three hours apart, so we gotta pack as much fun into every weekend as we can. Nothing overly romantic but perfect for us! Also, I definitely had this necklace on my Christmas list but didn't get it, so I would love to wear it on the date that we will be going on to make up for less alone time on February 14.

    ReplyDelete
  79. My husband and I will have a quiet (romantic) dinner and a movie at home. The night before, we'll attend a (free and dorky) church sponsored dinner and dance.

    ReplyDelete
  80. simply pretty.
my plans so far are to make homemade oreo's and stuff our faces with them

    ReplyDelete
  81. my husband and i have been married almost eight years now and we have two kids, so this year for valentine's day i want to do something cheesy and silly for him, kind of like what you do when you're in love for the first time: make him a mix tape (cd), bake him a heart-shaped cookie, write him a note with lyrics or a love poem written out, silly stuff that will be fun and cheap, but also hopefully meaningful.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Oh my gosh this is so cute!

This Valentine's day I'll be in New York on business :( I'm celebrating the weekend after!

    ReplyDelete
  83. We will celebrate the day before by going to a garden design class! Sounds silly, but can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I am leading a group of high school girls for a girls retreat this valentines weekend intended to focus on a girl's true beauty. This year's main theme is "Body Image" and we are going to emphasize how precious each girl is. Even though I cannot share this weekend with my bf, I think this will be a priceless weekend : )

    ReplyDelete
  85. i'll be in philadelphia taking a music audition. hopefully this adorable little bow will bring me luck!

    ReplyDelete

  87. lovelovelove that necklace!

since it's our last few months living walking distance to the beach, maybe a beach picnic at sunset is in order?

    ReplyDelete
  88. My boyfriend and I decided to go out to dinner last year only to encounter long lines and a very limited menu. This year, we're planning a quiet dinner with some yummy food picked up from Whole Foods. :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. my b and i always write little love notes to one another on that day. they are mostly silly, but also very sentimental and give us a chance to reminisce on all things "lovey". this bow necklace would be the quintessential accessory to feel feminine and beautiful on the day of love!

    ReplyDelete
  90. gorgeous necklace. no idea what our plan is for V-Day, guess we'll have to start thinking about it!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Very pretty! I don't know what are plans are yet. Nothing too big, our anniversary is close so we would rather celebrate then!

    ReplyDelete
  92. gorgeous necklace! :]
my boyfriend lives a few hours away and the 13th is our anniversary, so i am going to see him for the weekend. we dont have any major plans, he's planning the date...so it will be a suprise. im just happy to get a weekend together, cheesy romance movies and takeout sounds good to me :D

    ReplyDelete
  93. Just going to love on my Husb. I plan to cook a meal that will knock his socks off. And i'd love to be wearing that darling little necklace.

    ReplyDelete
  94. What a sweet necklace. Our valentines plans aren't too romantic. My stepmother is hosting sunday dinner (as she does most Sundays) and we are going to make it valentine themed. Maybe all dress up. Kids, significant others and grandkids.

    ReplyDelete
  95. oh how lovely. what a delicate, sweet necklace.

so for Valentine's day - i am making my husbands favorite meal - buffalo chicken bites, sound romantic, i know. and probably quesadillas (sp?) for the kids (they will be at our valentine's feast at home with us). then we will exchange small homemade gifts - for each other and our children. and after the kids are sleeping, we'll cuddle while watching a movie, his choice.

i am excited for a day spent with my favorite loved ones!

ps, I AM LOVING MY PHOTO 101 book!! thanks for your hard work!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I love that necklace! We are going to Arizona to spend the weekend with our friends before they move to the east coast, not very romantic but a good time nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  97. As it is Sunday, we will be blessing our second daughter in church on Valentine's day. She will be exactly two months old. My mom and sister are flying in for it and my husband's parents will be here as well. This beautiful necklace will just add to the beautiful day it will be. No better way to spend Valentine's day!

    ReplyDelete
  98. My babysitter is available on the 13th, so we are celebrating v-day then by going to Avatar in 3D. I'm so excited! We've never shelled out the moola for a 3D before so I hope it's good.

That necklace does inspire me to do something sweet on the 14th though too...

    ReplyDelete
  99. my husband likes to surprize me on valentines, I don't know if that means he takes months or days to plan it but hopefully something fun will happen.
    I really like the necklace.

    ReplyDelete
  100. With a 3 month old baby around, it's hard to have too many extravagant plans. I'm planning on making a fondue dinner followed by pomegranate cheesecake for dessert.
Oh, how I want this necklace!

    ReplyDelete
  101. the necklace is adorable. we will be on vacation in savannah for valentine's day and plan on kayaking at edie island.

    ReplyDelete
  102. My husband says bah humbug (we have a great marriage, but he says he doesnt need a day to celebrate our love when it should always be celebrated)to V-day, so I am taking my valentines day hints down and planning our own. So we will be having heart pancakes and heart shaped turkey sandwhiches and a nice day on the couch celebrating our last quiet v-day before baby #1 comes (april 21st)

    ReplyDelete
  103. Such an adorable necklace! I think the main thing I plan to do is bake some Valentine's Day sweets-- maybe cupcakes or a red velvet cake to eat as dessert. As a Hallmark employee, I feel like I've already started celebrating Valentine's Day for the past month, haha, so I think it will mostly be a low-key baking day with a nice dinner. :]

    ReplyDelete
  104. Our romantic plans involve me watching our kids while my opera singer husband performs a matinee of The Barber of Seville in Denver. He plays he is in love with Rosina, but he comes home to us. We will have to wait a few days for a real date.

    Lovely necklace.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hmmm - all I hope is that it involves a back rub.....No need for chocolate or flowers :)

    ReplyDelete
  115. I am going to make a cozy, romantic, picnic-styled meal for my husband in front of the living room fireplace. A nice relaxing evening at home!

    ReplyDelete
  116. I booked a Yurt adventure for my lova and me. We are going to do as the Vikings did and ride a sleigh to the middle of the wilderness (ok, maybe it's the Canyons Resort, but it can be wild, right?), then snowshoe to a Viking hut, or Yurt, where we'll dine with other adventurous Viking wanna-be's. I've already dubbed myself "Brynhild" and husband will be "Ulf." You can learn more here: http://www.thevikingyurt.com/
I can't wait! Hope you have a lovely Valentine's day!
