new favorite blog
dress design decor is my new favorite blog. i love that she crops everything square, and that her blog has structure and a point. and of course, beautifully chosen photographs.

*emera camera bags
brilliant nathiya -who owns pineapple seed- just launched the smartest line.... photo bag/purses! having to lug around my camera backpack actually prevents me from taking my camera with me... but this *emera bag safely holds my camera with padded velcro dividers. it makes it easy to grab your camera quickly and safely disguises your precious equipment. yeah, nathiya!
happy anniversary
to my parents who have been married 29 years.
love you much!

the diana
my friends bought me a diana --and here's my first roll. it's a shame how long it took me to shoot 16 exposure.. each one just seemed like the subject needed to be special enough. thrilled something turned out.

photoshop spots available!
photoshop crash course in utah this saturday! click here for more details!
Take this class!
The Art Weekend has been selling so well! Thank you for everyone who has registered! One class I felt didn't get enough attention was Digital Painting... so Mike created a new example of what you can learn to do in this class. The illustration below was based of my picture of Jane. (Now i'm trying to figure out a way to take it myself.)

Use Photoshop to paint without the mess or materials! Mike will teach you how to use Photoshop's tools to digitally paint your artwork. Bring a scanned original drawing to color, or use a drawing that will be provided. A wacom tablet is preferred but not required. Laptop with Photoshop CS4 installed required. (Free trial download available at adobe.com. Please do not download until the night before class.) Taught by Mike Loveland. This class will be offered Friday, August 14 from 4:00pm - 5:50pm. Click here to sign up.
