sf food carts

One lovely thing about teaching classes in the Mission is accidentally stumbling into food carts. SF is FULL of them and i've just started following a bunch of food carts so I can dart out at any minute for creme brulée, waffles, tacos, curry or sweets. Click here for SF food carts and here for a not-so-comprehensive list (but still helpful). Does anyone have favorites I have to try? Please comment below.

I'm heading out in the morning for waffles if anyone wants to meet me there!

nope, not from a food cart, but what i made last night cleaning out my fridge: halibut papillotte with tomato concassée topped with thyme, buttered/softened carrots and a splash of white wine. my favorite way to eat fish. please excuse the iphone pic and styling --i'd eaten 1/3 of it by the time i took the picture. ;)

  2. I never tried any of the food carts in SF (after all my bad experiences with NYC ones), but I have to say that EVERY week, without fail, I yearn for a burrito from Zapatas in the Castro :(

  3. I just tried a new one this week - it comes to the financial district on Friday but it moves around town - Liba's Falafel cart -yelp.com/biz/liba-falafel-truck-bay-area - it reminded me so much of great falafel from Barcelona and is the area's favorite (I write for a company that is just a few blocks down from where she parks!)

  5. I love Chaac-Mool. They serve up delicious Yucatecan food. Go visit their set up at Fort Mason (near Greens) Fri-Sun in the afternoons. just follow your nose. SO good!
