shot this in about 5 minutes, about 5 minutes ago for tonight's 102 class. wish i had taken 5 seconds to wipe the finger smudges off. oh, well. have a wonderful night. eat some chocolate.

    btw, your expert thoughts? I currently have the 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens on my camera but in a last-minute panic today also bought the 70-300 mm f/4-5.6. smart move? we're going on a trip to Africa and I was thinking I wouldn't be able to get close enough animal shots with the 24-70...on second thought we leave day after tomorrow so maybe I don't want to know if it was a dumb purchase...

    You'll like the 70-300mm range especially for a trip to Africa --you'll feel a little limited with the variable aperture (f4-5.6) --but it's a good budget-friendly lens.
