Yikes! Sorry to hear that. I hope someone advised you to stick all your valuables in the trunk (out of sight). Although, I've heard of people's trunks getting broken into so that's no consolation really.

Anyway, yeah, unfortunately, welcome to The City. But you love the weather, right? (:

So sorry about the break in. I know how that feels. You feel so violated! Sorry!

Beautiful shot!

Lame-o. A pox on all people who break into cars!

Not that this will make you feel any better, but it happens to almost everyone here. I've definitely learned the hard way to never leave anything in the car - and my car has still been broken into 3 times since living in SF. It really really sucks.

I'm so sorry this happened to you but hope it doesn't sour you on The City. It really is a great place! Dh is always on me about never leaving anything in the car.

I'm sorry to hear that story! I hope you are doing well in California, other than that of course!

Yes, Welcome to San Fran. I've had several things stolen while VISITING the lovely city. Love the tea cup photo. :)

I remember this:) I like it in black and white. She's such a sweet model.

Sorry about your break-in!

Oh no! Good luck with everything - you + hubby are in my thoughts and prayers.

Yup, that's a hearty SF welcome. We won't *steal* your car, we'll just break in. Everyone I know's had a window broken at least once, but (on the positive side) it's also the worst crime they've all experienced.

You aren't officially "welcomed" until your car has been towed.

Yeah, that sucks. Especially because of what was stolen - I'd freak if I lost my computer.

Hopefully it's the last time. I think we've all had our car windows smashed. I accidentally left my diaper changing pad folded up on the back seat and the jerk thought it was a purse and snatched it.

That stinks. Maybe you should have a really junky car worth nothing and they wouldn't bother....I'm sorry though. I would freak.

That is the worst! A few months ago my friend Linden and I took our kiddos to the Exploratorium. We parked right by Crissy Field in the broad daylight. When we came back to the car her window was shattered and her GPS was stolen. So infuriating! Sorry about the bad news.

Ugh, yep, welcome to the city. My car got broken into in the east bay last month and I know a few more people who's cars got broken into in SF recently. Happened to another friend in Houston last week...I think people are getting more desperate. Sad. That totally sucks :(
