Those turned out so cute! You are a genius. :) Our fave is probably the ones of Emma underwater, and of course of the twins with their feet in.

so cute! OK, please email me and let me know what you would charge me for about 1 hour or less of shooting time to do THIS in our backyard pool... I would love family swim pics like these!

Your pics are beautiful! I love the under water pics. What kind of camera and lens do you use? Your pics are always so crisp and clear. My pictures on blogspot look so fuzzy...

I have to say that of all the "drowning" babies, the last one is my favorite. :)

Where is this pool? Please say it's public so I can visit it the next time I'm out in Utah.

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for your comments.. Let me answer your questions:

Shoot was from 9-11am

Shot with an underwater housing for the Canon 5D.

This is not a public pool.. It was shot at my clubhouse in Orem.

I can do a 2 hr out-of-water/underwater photoshoot for $500 (which will help pay for the equipment needed.)

Thanks!

Nicole

I'm sorry to bug you again on the same post! I am just so curious as to how you get your photos so clear on blogspot. Mine turn out blurry, even if they look clear in ps. What is your sharpening process before you post? Do you do anything special to make the pics appear so clear on your blog/web? I am so frusterated! I notice it on most 'blogspot blogs' but yours seem to still look so good. Sorry so many questions....ope, one more...what lens do you use? :) I'm just learning all this stuff.

Ok, I just looked at your f.a.q. so I saw your lens'. What would you say is the all around best lens to own?

nicole hill said...

Hi.. I don't do any sharpening. A good overall lens is the 24-105mm f/4

--loss of sharpness can be from saving it as a low compressed file. I don't actually save these as jpgs.. but rather take a screenshot.. and upload the .png file.

Hi Nicole,

I first learned about you and your work a few works ago (via another blog that I can't remember). I love your work - I love the fresh colors.

I was so excited to see your underwater photos in particular because I've been researching housing for my 5d for months know and I haven't been able to make a decision. And living in central New Hampshire doesn't offer a lot of rental opps. I was almost ready to give in and buy the G9 and Ikelite housing as a compromise. But now that I see your 5d camera photos I think it's really the way to go. Would you mind sharing the housing you used for your 5d? And how was your experience? Would you use it again? My goal is to use this set-up specifically for pool portraits and there are no equipment reviews for this kind of work - they're all for photographing ocean life.

Thank you!

P.S. My son was born in Busan. South Korea is wonderful and Busan is beautiful. I think your sister will love it there.

Just re-read my comment. I apogize for all the awful grammar mistakes. Geez. I guess there's a reason why there's a "preview" button. :)
